Foxwood Community Centre

About us

Foxwood Community Centre is a City of York Council Community Centre that is run independently by Trustees.

In June 2015 we became a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (No 1162275)with the Centre being run by a number of Trustees. We are always seeking Trustees and would be very interested to hear from anyone who wants to know more.

Even if you do not want to become a Trustee we would be delighted to hear from anyone who is interested in helping with the running of the Centre and events.

The Community Centre has a large main hall with seating available for 100 people.

The main hall is fitted with a pull down screen and a ceiling mounted PC projector.

The hall has been professionally ‘tuned’ with high specification sound absorbing panels that make it a great place for public speaking or for live music.

With rear windows and skylights the room has good natural light which is augmented with LED lighting and a professional lighting rig for events where spotlighting is necessary.

A large double doored hatch gives access to refreshments from the attached kitchen.

A separate Office has two work stations that is ideal for business meetings or round table discussions and interviews.
The Board Room has a large removable table that is ideal for business meetings or round table discussions with hatchway access to the kitchen.

Free WIFI is available

Hirers can rent the Main Hall, the Board Room or the Office subject to availability.

We also have a flip chart and a portable projector screen which can be used.
